FAC is currently searching for aProduct Development Engineerto support the analysis and development of software for new and existing products.

FANUC America Corporation is seeking a naturally-skilled product development engineer for a unique and exciting employment opportunity utilizing cutting edge technology, with specialized skills in robotics, data collection and analytics.

Our developers have an opportunity to work in a wide range of disciplines, including embedded software development, robotics process development, offline virtual simulation, and applications development.

Primary responsibilities will include:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain robot analytics in cloud and on premises environments.

  • Setup laboratory test cells including robots, tooling and peripheral equipment to gather data needed for investigation of analytic issues and development of new analytic functions.

  • Identify trends and functions through analysis of complex data sets.

  • Design and implement the data transmission for analytic inside real time embedded system as well as data presentation in web interface.

  • Complete application developments by coordinating requirements, schedules, and activities; contributing to team meetings; troubleshooting development and production problems across multiple environments and operating platforms.

  • Specification, design, implementation, testing, documentation and customer support of software developments.

  • Development and implementation of product tests and product test procedures.

  • Communication with the global FANUC development teams and other engineering staffs on product and development related topics.

  • Present a proposed product concept to selling division and select customers.

  • Ability to develop project schedules.

Ideal candidate will have the following experience/skills and education:

  • Bachelor degree in Computer or Data Science, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering major preferred

  • Graduate degree or higher in Engineering preferred, or equivalent relevant work experience a plus

  • Knowledge of C programming language

  • Excellent aptitude for software and software development tools

  • Experience with medium to large size databases a plus

  • Machine learning and data analytics a plus

  • .NET and/or Java a plus
