HTI Cybernetics Mechanical Design Engineer in Sterling Heights, Michigan
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:ulliAttends customer, vendor and internal reviews./liliWorks as a team player with other departments./liliComplete 3-D designs and assemblies for a variety of moderately complex to complex ergonomic and automated tools/liliWork concurrently on one or more projects of moderately complex scope/liliAnalyze as-built tool design information and prepare design update plans/liliCreate field sketches and layouts/liliUnderstand customer needs, apply technical knowledge to identify process requirements, recommend and implement custom engineered solutions/liliDemonstrate Engineering professionalism in all activities and provide efficient service to customers/liliFacilitates FMEA's/ERGO's at rough sketch and forty percent design completion phases./liliFills out or reviews control line-up forms per designated project./liliMust understand customer design and build specifications./liliMinimum of (5) years design experience/liliMinimum (5) year NX/UG experience/liliExperience in Automotive Tooling required, preferably Final Line / Trim Chassis Final/liliCustomer background with GM preferred./liliEnsures all As Builds and Non-conformances are updated on drawings./liliUnderstands and follows safety environmental regulations and identifies safety/environmental concerns./liliAdheres to the Quality System and participates in continuous improvement./li/ulEducation and Experience:Prefer an Associates degree in design, mechanical engineering, manufacturing or a related field, AND at least five (5) years of related experience. Requires at least five (5) years of experience managing multiple projects. Requires at least five (5) years of mechanical 3D solid modeling experience and proficiency in Unigraphics. Must have basic knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office.
