Responsible for new system development activities related to battery systems utilizing structural plastics and other lightweight materials
Lead overall requirements traceability, system architecture definition, interface management, and risk management
Generate subsystem and component test requirements and work with test team to plan, execute, and evaluate test events for innovation projects
Strong focus on battery enclosure system development with the ability to develop IP protected solutions
Ensure establishment of specifications and procurement of equipment for prototype production
Support design development, prototyping, validation and industrialization teams within Kautex to optimize and balance requirements to develop the best overall solutions.
Develop and support the roll out of systems-based thinking and requirements to the customer business units
Support EHS activities within the department to ensure both a safe workplace and adoption of safe working practices
BS degree in Systems, Mechanical, or Electrical engineering, MS in Systems Engineering a plus
A minimum of 5 years work experience in Systems Engineering focused in R&D.
Broad technology know how within the field of battery systems for HEV and BEV applications in the automotive industry.
Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively to coordinate systems engineering activities and on project status.
Proven skills in project management
Experience in structural plastic components utilizing compression molding, SMC, D-LFT and/or GMT processes preferred
Fluent English language, German language skills are a plus
