Provide technical and programmatic support to Project Manager Armored Fighting Vehicles ( PM AFV), Product Manager Bradley Fighting Vehicle Systems (PdM BFVS) for the Multiple Launch Rocket System ( MLRS) M270 in Warren, Michigan. Duties include the Technical and Management support for all efforts related to the MLRS M270 chassis. Provides direct support to the Assistant Product Manager (APM) MLRS, which includes responsibility for management support for cost, schedule, and performance of all MLRS M993A1/A2 chassis programs managed by PM AFV. On behalf of the APM MLRS, will coordinate with all functional support to ensure milestones are met to achieve program success. Provide support to the APM MLRS in the following critical areas: preparation of contract requirements packages, technical evaluations, budgetary planning for future activities, and evaluation of integrated master schedules. Attend meetings either in person or via teleconference to support the Product Director (PD) Field Artillery Launchers (FAL), Precision Fires Rocket and Miissile Systems (PFRMS) Project Office to include Integrated Product Teams, Program Management Reviews, In-Process Reviews, and Production meetings. Routinely attends and monitors both Government and Contractor testing in support of the M993A1/A2 chassis. Coordinates with and provides status to PD- FAL, PFRMS PMO who is chartered to manage the overall MLRS M270 system. Travel at 15%. Required experience: Master’s degree in engineering, science, math, management, business or other related weapon system discipline from an accredited college or university and fifteen (15) years of experience performing weapon system engineering, management or assessments for related programs, including seven (7) years of hand-on experience in one or more functional areas such as system engineering, management, system analysis, strategic planning, integrated logistics, modeling and simulation, and/or test and evaluation for relevant programs. In lieu of a Master's degree must have a Bachelor’s Degree and an additional 5 years of experience. Must have a DoD Secret clearance.
