Kforce Electrical Calibration Technician in Warren, Michigan

Kforce's Metro Detroit automotive client is looking for 5 Electrical Calibration Technicians for long-term, renewable contract positions in Warren, Michigan (MI).Summary:The role of the Calibration Assistant is to support Active Safety Feature Integration Engineers with issue resolution and testing of all active safety features. This role includes setting up, flashing software or calibrations, troubleshooting all modules and instrumentation for multiple programs and model years.Responsibilities:

  • Update vehicles with calibrations and software

  • Plan and coordinate vehicle instrumentation

  • Prepare vehicles and instrumentation for test trips

  • Conduct/assist in vehicle testing

  • Participate on vehicle development and test trips as needed

  • Participate in weekly vehicle usage meetings with Active Safety Program Lead

  • Associates degree or equivalent experience of 4 years or more within the automotive industry

  • 5 years of automotive technician/electrical technician experience

  • Experience updating electronic control modules

  • Experience root causing electrical issues in vehicles

  • Valid Driver's license and the ability to travel

Preferred Skills:

  • Automotive CAN tools (CANalyzer/VSpy/etc.)

  • Familiarity with ETAS/INCA calibration and data collection

  • Understanding of data acquisition and analysis

  • High level of oral and written communication skills

  • Project management skills

  • Interpersonal skills to work independently and effectively with others
