This position is the single point “voice of the customer” supporting the Infotainment and Connectivity global team to ensure segment leadership in J.D. Power / Warranty IPTV and Cost reduction initiatives. This position also represents Infotainment and Connectivity team with the vehicle platform program quality leadership and program teams. In this role, you'll be the central focus to the organization regarding quality for Infotainment and Connectivity (I&C) across the entire development process, through manufacturing, and into the field.
Perform early issue identification, tracking and resolution to ensure segment leadership.
Provide clear and timely communication to Quality management relative to quality issues.
Lead launch and current product problem solving activities.
Deploy quality work according to planned development timing.
Work with the product team to identify and capture critical status updates for Quality reviews.
Facilitate Quality Review meetings and integrity of presentation materials.
Support I&C Program Execution Team (PET) with quality analysis information.
Analyze, project and track warranty and Customer survey information.
Support the development of the global quality planning process and templates.
Oversee Infotainment component bench testing and teardowns.
Support Quality Deep Dives / Sector Reviews / Quality Councils.
Build and cultivate relationships across multiple functions and regions
Regularly report warranty performance to leadership at Core PDT meetings
Analyze and follow-up on captured test fleet diagnostic data and verbatim
Read-across issues to other vehicle lines and assembly plants
Initiate and Conduct Warranty Parts Review at Warranty Parts Center
Identify Assembly Plants and Suppliers for QRD Team review
Lead meetings for quality and reliability review by module and supplier
Track step-down to warranty targets by vehicle line and region
Support the development of future strategy and roadmaps for quality improvements within the Infotainment and Connectivity QRD area
Additional Job Description
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience
Background in Product Development: (Validation, Reliability Engineering, Design Release Engineering, etc.)
Ability to manage multiple tasks with a high level of accountability and autonomy
Knowledge of Quality Chain Framework
Ability to influence without authority
Excellent communication (verbal and written) and meeting facilitation skills
Knowledge of Quality Operational Excellence tools – Red X, DFSS, OpEx etc
Understanding of product design and process interdependencies
Initiative to reach beyond current assignment and improve the output and/or help others
Strong Excel, Sharepoint, Power BI and data management skills
Strong Analytical Problem Solving Skills
Experience facilitation Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) or Design Review Based on Failure Modes
DFSS Black Belt Certification
ASQ Quality Certification
Assembly plant / supply base experience
