This includes creating, negotiating, and managing project vehicle integration/scope with assigned customer(s), managing mechanical aspects of loudspeaker design with a global team, customer interface/support, and lead failure analysisroblem solving efforts.Your TeamThis position will not have any direct reports. However, providing technical leadership and mentoring to less experience engineers and interns/co-ops is required.What You Will Doand#8226;Single point customer interface for technical Engineering issuesand#8226;Main Mechanical engineering interface between Harman Global Engineering team and customerand#8226;Explain Mechanical technical problems and solutions to the customerand#8226;Serve as the customer technical contact person for initial technical discussionsand#8226;Lead customer design reviews and ensure the quality of event meets customer expectations and project timing.and#8226;Create and present problem solving documents to the customer (5 Phase, Fishbone, Is/Is Not)and#8226;Lead Harman Mechanical technical discussions during customer open issue meetingsand#8226;Interface between internal Harman Mechanical and Transducer Engineering departmentsand#8226;Oversees projects from a technical perspective and intervenes to insure customer and internal requirements are metand#8226;Track internal Mechanical and Transducer development status to insure on time delivery to the customerand#8226;Work with global Mechanical and Transducer departments to manage technical risks to insure on time delivery to customerand#8226;Supports and facilitates resolutions of technical difficultiesroblems e.g. by involving the appropriate subject matter experts.and#8226;Lead design reviewsand#8226;Responsible for coordinating customer requested technical changesCoordinate and lead application/integration of early concept and pre-development activities with customer(s)Support customer(s) RFQ activities for mechanical integrationAnalyze speaker assemblies and their subcomponents as created by global mechanical design team with consideration to Customer requirementsLead the creation of DFMEA/DRBFM outline and insure global engineering teams complete documents with a high level of quality and present them with customerTrack internal design review open issues to successful completionPrepare Harman CAD (CATIA) for upload to customer CAD database using NXTravel to Harman, customer, and supplier facilities, as necessaryand#8226;Travel periodically to support program reviews, training, etc., including some international travelWhat You Needand#8226;BSME, or related degreeand#8226;Additional experience may be substituted for education and vice-versaand#8226;5+ years of Mechanical Engineering design experience in automotive, electronics, and/or acousticsand#8226;Working Knowledge of:and#8226;CATIA and NXand#8226;GD T (Geometric Dimensioning Tolerance)and#8226;DFMEA (Design Failure Mode Effects Analy
